Reviews
Alfred' Basic Chord Dictionary 3rd Edition is a very complete listing of 36 chords in each key (Ab, A, Bb, B, C etc.), with a nice diagram for each one, showing frets and strings, finger positions and notes being played in the chord. It includes an 8-page front section on chord theory and construction, which is interesting and informative. I especially like that it includes 6 versions of each chord, moving up the fingerboard from nut to 11th fret. Only nit-pick I have is that a few chords are not shown with all the strings one would normally play, for example the B chord shows only strings 2-5 and not the 1st string at 2nd fret that would usually be included (x2444x vs x24442. There are a few others like that. But overall, this is a Great Chord Reference book, with chord theory included.
